A diverse symposium at the University of Copenhagen

A number of scholars and artists gave talks on environmental art and ecopoetry at a well-attended symposium on creative responses to environmental threats, held in conjunction with the art exhibition Creative Responses at the SPECTA gallery. Poets Haukur Ingvarsson and Kim Simonsen also recited poetry, and representatives of eco-friendly micro-publishing presented their work.

The lectures were given by a Snæfellsjökuls rawlings, Torsten Bögh Thomsen, Sigrún Alba Sigurðardóttir, Anders Ehlers Dam, Ole Martin Sandberg, Dehlia Hannah, and Sigrún Inga Hrólfsdóttir.

The symposium was organized by Audur Aðalsteinsdóttir, director of the University of Iceland Research Centre in Þingeyjarsveit, and Michael Kjær, an adjunct professor of art history at the University of Copenhagen.
